Casentino Valley is a small tuscan valley located between the provinces of Arezzo and Florence.

Its morphological characteristics have earned the definition of “closed valley” from the latin word “clasentinum” – created by nature as a sort of basket with a backdrop of forests and meadows surrounded by forested mountains and crossed by the Arno River, which flows through the valley to the plain of Arezzo and here “turn the muzzle to Arezzo” (Dante, Purgatory XV.48).

Land of towers and castles, Romanesque churches and Della Robbia’s terracotta, Dante’s places and spiritual locations, a green oasis in the Tuscan Romagna Appenin (Casentino Forest Park), it is rightly considered one of the most beautiful valleys of Tuscany.

Ornina Farm, including farmguest house (Casa Giannino) and vineyard is located at 450 mt above the sea level and facing south, in the lower side of this charming valley.
